The Nashville Predators will take on childhood cancer when they hit the ice Saturday, March 12, at Bridgestone Arena.

The Predators declared March 12 as Hockey Fights Cancer night. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the Nashville Predators Pediatric Cancer Research Fund at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The funds raised will go into the endowment for pediatric cancer research and will help Children's Hospital work to identify cures and better treatments for childhood cancer.

The 7 p.m. game also will benefit Children's Hospital.
