Predators game to raise cancer funds

Predators game to raise cancer funds

When the Nashville Predators hockey team hits the ice Thursday, Oct. 21, fans can score an assist when it comes to childhood cancer.

A portion of the proceeds from the Predators game against the Pittsburgh Penguins will benefit the Vanderbilt Childhood Cancer Program.

The game will be at 7 p.m. at Bridgestone Arena.
A silent auction during the game also will benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Last season, the Predators raised $125,000 for Children's Hospital, endowing a pediatric cancer research fund and supporting other programs.

This season they are expanding their efforts by allowing hockey fans to give all season at www.nashvillepredators.com/beatcancer.

In addition, a bone marrow donor registration drive held during the game can help save lives.

To purchase tickets for the Oct. 21 game, visit www.nashvillepredators.com/vanderbilt and use the offer code “Vanderbilt.” First-time users must create an account.

Vanderbilt employees can buy discounted Predators tickets all season using the “Vanderbilt” offer code.
