Research Staff Awards nominations sought
Vanderbilt University Medical Center is accepting nominations for the 2011 Research Staff Awards in the following categories:
• Edward E. Price Jr. Award for Basic Research — recognizes excellence in conducting basic research.
• Vivien Thomas Award for Clinical Research — recognizes excellence in conducting clinical research.
• Contributing to Multi-investigator Teams — recognizes research excellence as a contributor to a multi-investigator team.
Eligible staff includes Research Assistants I, II, & III; Senior Research Specialists; research nurses; research support staff; or any staff member who provides exemplary research support.
Faculty members, research fellows, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students are not eligible.
Nominations must be received by Oct. 3 and should be sent electronically via pdf to danielle.certa@vanderbilt.edu by Oct. 3.
Nomination packages must include a nomination form and letter with accompanying support letters and an updated CV. Please clearly indicate the award category for which the individual is being nominated.
Award recipients will be announced at a luncheon at the University Club in November and will receive a check for $1,000, a certificate and a trophy.
