The annual Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center research retreat will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, in the Vanderbilt Student Life Center.
The focus of this year's retreat is “Mechanics of Malignancy, Tumor Angiogenesis and Metastasis.”
Speakers will include Kari Alitalo, M.D., Ph.D., University of Helsinki; Suresh Mohla, Ph.D., National Cancer Institute; Erik Sahai, Ph.D., London Research Institute; Melody Swartz, Ph.D., Swiss Federal Institute of Technology; Valerie Weaver, Ph.D., University of California, San Francisco; and Ronald Obenauf, colon cancer survivor and research advocate.
