The award acknowledges consumer confidence in VUMC.

For the third year in a row, Vanderbilt University Medical Center has earned the National Research Corporation’s Consumer Choice Award. Vanderbilt is the highest rated hospital in Middle Tennessee.

The award is based on consumer preference determined through interviews in the country’s top 100 markets. In its annual survey—widely known as the nation’s most comprehensive consumer assessment of the health care industry—NRC asks more than 150,000 consumers which hospitals have the best overall quality and image.

Vanderbilt was chosen as a premier facility, along with other institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Duke University Medical Center, and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
