We Care for Kids Day to bring family fun Oct. 3

The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt will host the sixth annual We Care for Kids Day Sunday, Oct. 3, from 2-4 p.m.

The free, family fun day celebrates Middle Tennessee children and will be held at the corner of Children’s Way and Natchez Trace on Vanderbilt Campus Recreation Field 2.

Various areas of Children’s Hospital and other area non-profit groups will host wall-to-wall interactive booths. From face painting to nutrition tips, all booths will offer information on topics such as physical activity, literacy, safety and health.

The Children’s Stage will showcase local and regional children’s performances.

There will also be special reunions for former patients from the Vanderbilt Childhood Cancer Program, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Critical Care Unit.
