Women’s Health Nursing Fellowship launched

Vanderbilt University Medical Center has launched a Women's Health Nursing Fellowship, a 15-month program for Vanderbilt registered nurses.

The program will provide in-depth clinical and classroom orientation in Labor and Delivery, OB/GYN in-patient units or the Center for Women's Health Outpatient Clinics.

“To meet the demand and complexity of care in women's health we need to constantly enhance our on-the-job education,” said Debianne Peterman, Ph.D., M.S.N., director of Nursing Education and Development for VUMC.

“We are looking for experienced, talented staff nurses who are interested in taking the next step in developing their professional career and transferring to a women's health position.”

The fellowship is open to all full-time Medical Center nurses with a minimum of one year of service.

The deadline for applications is April 1, and will be followed by personal interviews in May. The goal is to have the selection process completed by June.
