Ceremony celebrates start of VUSM students’ medical journeys

The members of the incoming class include 88 MD, 15 Medical Scientist Training Program and one oral and maxillofacial surgery student. They were selected from a pool of more than 6,800 applicants and came to VUSM from 29 states, six foreign countries and 63 undergraduate schools with 57 majors.

Chill Out brings out the frozen treats and the smiles

The Chill Out event, at which VUMC employees get free ice cream and other frozen treats, was held at all VUMC hospital campuses. The VUH Plaza was a sea of smiles as a summer day was cooled off with frozen goodness.

The LifeFlight legacy: 40 years in 40 photos

Since July 1984, LifeFlight has made 76,942 flights and transported 80,118 patients. It’s transported another 37,133 patients since its ground transport program began; critical care ground transports number 4,188.
