Vanderbilt Health honored for providing care to patients with congenital heart disease

The program recognizes “the critical role of facilities providing care to patients with congenital heart disease who transition their care from pediatric cardiology to adult cardiology services.”

Clinic offers ongoing care for pediatric heart patients

Vanderbilt recently launched a new multidisciplinary Fontan Clinic, which will provide an ongoing, coordinated care plan for children and teens, ages 10-19, who have had the Fontan procedure for single ventricle heart disease.

Congenital Heart Program gains accreditation from ACHA

The Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) has awarded the Vanderbilt Adult Congenital Heart Program status as an Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Accredited Comprehensive Care Center — the first in Tennessee.
