Award-winning New York Times science writer and columnist Carl Zimmer will deliver the next Flexner Discovery Lecture on Thursday, Oct. 3, on setting science “right” when it goes “wrong.”

Zimmer writes the popular science blog, “The Loom,” hosted by National Geographic. He has written 12 books about science including Evolution: Making Sense of Life, a textbook for biology majors co-authored with University of Montana biology professor Doug Emlen, Ph.D.
Zimmer also is a lecturer at Yale University, where he teaches writing about science and the environment.
His talk, entitled “When Science Goes Wrong, and Ways to Set It Right,” will begin at 4 p.m. in 208 Light Hall. It is sponsored by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs.
