Fleischer honored by national radiology board

Arthur C. Fleischer, M.D., Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, is the recipient of a Lifetime Service Award from the American Board of Radiology (ABR).

The ABR is the official organization designated by the American Board of Medical Specialties to administer board certification exams for radiologists.

Fleischer received this award after more than 15 years of continuous service to the ABR and as an acknowledgment for “time and dedication so generously given.”

Through his service Fleischer has played an important role in the board examination process by composing questions for the written portion of examinations, accumulating cases that are used for the oral portion of the exams and serving as an oral board examiner on numerous occasions.
