Popular Star Wars characters visited with patients at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt on May 4, a date known among Star Wars enthusiasts as “May the 4th be with you day.”

The characters are members of the midsouth chapter of the 501st Legion, a costuming organization that provides Star Wars experiences. They participated in an event in Seacrest Studios and visited inpatient units. Pictured here, patient Braden Farmer, 10, with Darth Vader and Stormtroopers.
