Dinner and auction set to raise funds for Shade Tree Clinic

The 8th Annual Shade Tree Clinic Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction will take place Thursday, Feb. 20, from 6 – 8:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center on Vanderbilt University’s campus.

The 8th Annual Shade Tree Clinic Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction will take place Thursday, Feb. 20, from 6 – 8:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center on Vanderbilt University’s campus.

The Shade Tree Dinner and Auction, which will honor Shade Tree founders and VUSM alumni Kristina Collins, MD, and the late Katie Cox Johnson, MD, is the first of two annual fundraising events supporting the Shade Tree Clinic, the student-run medical clinic in East Nashville which provides free health care and medications for underserved Nashvillians.

The annual Shade Tree Trot 5K, also benefiting the Shade Tree Clinic, will take place April 18.

The Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction, presented by Messer Construction and the Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association, will feature dinner by Carrabba’s Italian Grill and a mobile auction with items ranging from Louis Vuitton purses to Nashville Predators tickets.
