On Dec. 2 patients at Vanderbilt University Hospital received a holiday gift of a poinsettia, thanks to VUH leadership and the VUMC Corporate & Foundation Relations office, who secured a donation from BrightView Landscape in Nashville, and a squad of volunteers who sorted the holiday plants and delivered them.
More than 800 of the holiday plants were distributed at VUMC that day.
“We are grateful for this donation and the many volunteers who delivered the poinsettias to patients throughout the adult hospital. It was a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to spread a little holiday cheer to patients and family members,” said Andy Peterson, Director of Spiritual & Pastoral Care and Volunteer Services for VUH.
