Medicine Grand Rounds for May 2023 announced

anderbilt University Medical Center’s (VUMC) Department of Medicine will host the upcoming Medicine Grand Rounds on Thursdays at 8 a.m. in May.

May 4: “When you can’t kill the bug – Drug repurposing solutions for hard-to-treat skin and soft tissue infections”

  • Henrique Serezani, PhD, Associate Vice Chair for Research and Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine, Vanderbilt University Medical Center

 May 11: Glenn Greene Lectureship

  • Sanjiv Shah, MD, Stone Endowed Professor and Director of Research for the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute; Director of the Center for Deep Phenotyping and Precision Medicine in the Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine; and Director of the Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction Program, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine

May 18: Medicine Grand Rounds

  • Stacie Dusetzina, PhD, Professor of Health Policy, Department of Health Policy; and Ingram Professor of Cancer Research, Vanderbilt University Medical Center

May 28: Medicine Grand Rounds

  • Kenneth Jamerson, MD, Frederick G.L. Huetwell Collegiate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine and Professor of Internal Medicine, University of Michigan

Medicine Grand Rounds are hosted in person in 208 Light Hall using a hybrid format. Lectures will be live streamed, and available for on-demand viewing here following the presentation.

Lectures are open to the medical community, including those outside Vanderbilt, via Zoom. Free CME credit is also provided with advanced registration.
