Vanderbilt University Medical Center Strategy and Innovation Services is offering a collaborative meeting space free to VUMC groups.

Located near campus at 3401 West End Ave., the flexible space is designed to accommodate groups ranging from three to 100 people.

“Part of the benefit of coming to our space is the large amount of dry-erase work walls we have and an environment that helps support creative problem-solving,” said Adriana Gaitan, program manager for workspace services.

“If you need a convenient place to gather that helps you collaborate better, our space is perfect.”

The space is now easier to reserve, with a new online booking system for small groups (up to eight people).

“Since its inception, our collaboration space was always designed to be a place where teams navigate their journey into the future. Seeing the space filled with these activities every moment of every weekday is a realization of that intent. We are excited to re-introduce this free service available to all of VUMC,” said Steven Weissenburger, MEd, director of Strategy and Innovation Services.

Strategy and Innovation Services also facilitates workshops for VUMC groups to plan new ventures or design strategies.

The department began some 20 years ago as the Vanderbilt Center for Better Health and transitioned nearly a decade ago to focus on strategy and innovation for groups internal to VUMC.
