Shade Tree Clinic is VUMC’s student-run, free clinic that serves Nashville’s uninsured, and the clothing drive aims to provide patients with resources for protection from the sun’s harmful effects with the donations collected during the event. Requested donations include any new or gently used sun protective clothing items, such as long-sleeved shirts and wide-brimmed hats, with ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) rating. Sun protective items will be available for purchase in-store or items purchased elsewhere can be brought to the store and dropped off at an in-store donation collection bin.
