Beginning June 1, REDCap will move from the vanderbilt.edu domain to a new home on vumc.org.
As part of this transition, anyone who uses a REDCap survey, form or project must update any URLs and associated information with the new domain as soon as possible. Specific steps for updating REDCap information include:
- Survey links published on external websites or included on printed materials with the old domain name (redcap.vanderbilt.edu) in the survey URL should be replaced with a new URL using the new domain name (redcap.vumc.org).
- QR codes for surveys created prior to March 2024 pointing to redcap.vanderbilt.edu should be remade and replaced with current QR codes that point to redcap.vumc.org. If you are not sure of the date your QR code was created, the safest course of action would be to remade and replace.
- API Scripts, including mobile apps, web apps, or client-side apps that have “redcap.vanderbilt.edu” hardcoded in code should be updated to “redcap.vumc.org”
- Web browser bookmarks where saved link includes “redcap.vanderbilt.edu” should be updated to “redcap.vumc.org”
- REDCap project bookmarks where saved link includes “redcap.vanderbilt.edu” should be updated to “redcap.vumc.org”
All changes should be made by May 31 to avoid disruption to existing projects. Questions should be directed to redcap@vumc.org.
