Annual Alzheimer’s Caregiver and Family Resource Fair to be July 12

Tennessee has nearly 370,000 Alzheimer’s disease caregivers, dedicating more than 500 million hours of unpaid care to nearly 130,000 people in the state with Alzheimer’s disease. To meet the needs of caregivers in Tennessee, Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer’s Center and Tennessee Department of Health are hosting the second annual Alzheimer’s Caregiver and Family Resource Fair 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, at the East Park Community Center, 600 Woodland St. in Nashville.

The fair will provide support and resources to families and caregivers navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

The event is designed to empower families and caregivers with the knowledge and resources they need to navigate the journey of Alzheimer’s and dementia with confidence and support.

The fair will offer attendees free access to representatives from more than 20 organizations, providing services ranging from financial assistance and mental health support to in-home care and caregiver respite.
