MICRO is a biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) laboratory with state-of-the-art biosafety features made possible in part by an $8 million National Institutes of Health construction grant. The lab will greatly expand Vanderbilt Health’s capacity to test new medical countermeasures and therapies against infectious agents.
