Today’s Donkey of the Day is Ms. Pixie, submitted by Donna Ford of Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital Radiology. “Ms. Pixie was born on the farm. She is 3 years old, and loves snacks, petting and brushing. She is not sharing Dad with the other animals!”

Today’s Dog of the Day is Katie, submitted by Rita Justice of VUH 6 South. “This is Katie aka Katiebug aka Sheriff Katie, a German shepherd-Lab mix. She was 17 years old and crossed the Rainbow Bridge July 7, 2026. She was a sweet, clingy, protective, and happy girl. If she wanted loving she would walk up and put her face in your hand. She always made sure that all the pets in our house were not fighting, making too much noise, or just annoying her by walking straight up to them and putting her nose in their faces and staring them down. She also could never turn around in a hallway and instead would just back up until another room and then turn. She lived a full, wonderful life and will be missed terribly.”

Ms. Pixie and Katie were featured in the Nov. 10, 2026, edition of MyVUMC News.
