War trauma focus of Nov. 2 lecture

Kaz de Jong, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist with Doctors Without Borders, will discuss the mental health challenges of caring for people traumatized by war during a special lecture at the Vanderbilt Nursing Annex on Monday, Nov. 2.

Kaz de Jong, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist with Doctors Without Borders, will discuss the mental health challenges of caring for people traumatized by war during a special lecture at the Vanderbilt Nursing Annex on Monday, Nov. 2.

His lecture, entitled “Mass Conflict and Care in War Affected Areas,” will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in room 140 of Frist Hall in the Nursing Annex. It will include an interactive discussion.
The discussion is presented by the Student Advisory Council of the Vanderbilt University Institute for Global Health (VIGH), the Vanderbilt School of Nursing and Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières).
