Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt launches new Pediatric Specialty Clinic in Murfreesboro

 

Convenient pediatric specialty care from board-certified pediatric specialists is now closer to home for children and families living in Murfreesboro and the surrounding community.

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt opened a new subspecialty clinic today to provide pediatric specialty care in the areas of cardiology, neurology, general surgery, gastroenterology and urology, with hopes to expand to other services in the future. The newest clinic, the Vanderbilt Children’s Clinic in Murfreesboro, will be located on the second floor at 1115 Kennedy Dr.

With the launch of Vanderbilt Children’s Clinic in Murfreesboro, Children’s Hospital is continuing to expand its efforts to bring comprehensive specialized pediatric medical care closer to patients’ homes and to serve local pediatricians across Middle Tennessee. Other subspecialty clinics are located in Hendersonville, Jackson, Cookeville, Spring Hill, Clarksville, Chattanooga and Knoxville.

“We are thrilled to be able to bring our specialty care services to the Murfreesboro community,” said Luke Gregory, chief executive officer of Children’s Hospital. “We know families are busy with work, school and extracurricular activities, and we hope making our specialty care more accessible and closer to home will help make life a little less hectic.”

The different specialties will have staggered opening dates, with cardiology launching first on Jan. 13; neurology on Jan. 19; gastroenterology on Jan. 20; urology on Jan. 21, and general surgery on Feb. 5.
