All VUMC employees who participate in the American Heart Association 2022 Great Nashville Heart Walk will earn 100,000 bonus steps in this year’s Fit for Fall Step Challenge. The 100,000-step bonus will earn participants the “Step It Up with Health Plus Step Challenges”-action in the Wellness Actions Log for Health Plus’ Go for the Gold, as well as an entry into the prize drawing.
The Greater Nashville Heart Walk will be back at Vanderbilt on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Dragon Park at 2400 Blakemore Avenue. It is a family-friendly community event open to everyone: coworkers, friends, and children, and furry companions. Due to the pandemic, this is the first in-person Heart Walk back at Vanderbilt’s campus in three years.
The popular event raises awareness and encourage financial support for the American Heart Association’s research and health advocacy. VUMC has 50 VUMC Heart Walk teams, 334 registered walkers and raised $53,064 towards the $75,000 goal.
