A Vanderbilt study in partnership with the Oasis Center seeks to learn more about how to support parents of LGBTQ+ youth who are or have recently received mental health services. Focus groups are being conducted over the next few months with parents to hear more from them about their experiences in the mental health system and to learn about what they want for support.
Parents are eligible to participate if they have an LGBTQ+ child between the ages of 9 -17 and whose child has received mental health support in the past year. Parents will be paid for their time and food will be provided if attending the focus groups in person.
