Jack-o-lanterns, witches, haunted houses and more — the VUMC Voice’s Halloween children’s art contest drew an impressive array of terrifying seasonal images. The contest was divided by the age of the artist, with 4-7 year-olds in their own category, and 8-12 year-olds in the older category.
The winner of the 4-to-6 age group is Isaac Guo, the son of Fei Ye of Biostatistics, for his spooky nighttime-in-the-graveyard scene. First runner up was Ayaan Anand, the son of Gitanjali Srivastava of the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, for his straw-hatted scarecrow. Second runner-up was Stephanie Guo, the daughter of Ye Han of Neurology, for a scene with spiders, ghosts, bats and other seasonal frights.
