Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt will hold Time for Remembering, the annual ceremony to honor the lives of children that have passed away while being cared for at Monroe Carell, on April 21 at Blair School of Music, 2-4 p.m.
It is the first time since 2019 that the event will be in person. It will include time and space for families to take part in memory making stations and to plant flowers at Monroe Carell’s Koi Pond.
There will be various opportunities for Monroe Carell faculty and staff to engage with family members of the children being remembered and honored. Families consistently report that the presence of faculty and staff from the hospital at Time for Remembering, whether it is someone who directly cared for their child or not, is meaningful and appreciated.
There are opportunities to volunteer, or faculty and staff are welcome to simply attend.
Please have families who would benefit from attending RSVP at https://www.childrenshospitalvanderbilt.org/information/time-remembering. Faculty and staff who are interested in volunteering should contact the Junior League Family Resource Center at 615-936-2558 or Family.frc@vumc.org
