Today’s Cat of the Day is Toad, submitted by Kelly Blankenship of the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance. “Toad was adopted as a baby from the local rescue Saving Stevie. Toad is a comfort-loving dude, who we refer to as the “King of Coze(-iness)”. His favorite summer activities are hunting flies and sun bathing in a warm window.”
Today’s Dog of the Day is Benny, submitted by Zachary Freeman of the Stem Cell Processing Lab. “This is Benito ‘Benny’ Asiago, destroyer of bubbles. He is a three year old border collie mix with no aspirations of ever being a good boy.”
Toad and Benny were featured in the Oct. 8, 2026, edition of MyVUMC News.
