Three teams across Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt recently earned top-status Gold Level Quality awards from the Tennessee Initiative for Perinatal Quality Care (TIPQC).

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt reopened its hallmark grand staircase and full lobby Feb. 25, marking a significant milestone in the hospital expansion which is entering the final stages before the first two new floors open later this year.

In the building and creation of Nashville’s first and only freestanding children’s hospital, Monroe Carell Jr. and his wife, Ann Scott Carell, were involved every step of the way.
