VU mourns loss of Pediatrics icon Sell

Sarah H. Sell, M.D., professor of Pediatrics, Emerita, one of the key players in the development of the childhood vaccine to protect against Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), the most common cause of bacterial meningitis in children younger than 5, died Saturday, Oct. 6. She was 99.

Day set to promote hand hygiene efforts

Sequel to record-breaking vaccination event scheduled

Vanderbilt University and Medical Center faculty, staff, students and volunteers will once again have the opportunity to be part of a mass flu vaccination plan that last year more than doubled the current world record for the total number of vaccinations given in an eight-hour period.
