The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s 2016 Science Day is Sept. 19 from noon to 5:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center. Each year more than 100 posters are presented by undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research faculty and research staff. The poster submission process is competitive, and the call for poster abstracts is now open.

Steeplechase ambassador

The 2016 Iroquois Steeplechase drew more than 25,000 spectators to Percy Warner Park on May 14. The event has raised nearly $10 million over the years to benefit specialty programs, equipment, research and other needs for patients and families of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
