Vanderbilt LifeFlight is expanding its ground ambulance advanced life support (ALS) transport capability to Coffee County, Tennessee, and will be adding a base of operations in Tullahoma, along with two ground ambulances.

The entire enterprise — clinical, research and education — began preparing for the pandemic’s impact even before the first cases appeared in Tennessee in March, and that dedicated commitment and unceasing effort did not waver in the long months that followed. But while COVID-19 dominated the news during 2020, there were still many other noteworthy achievements that made headlines during the year.

Vanderbilt LifeFlight has been named the air medical program of the year by the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS).

Access to women’s health and midwifery services is now more convenient than ever for Lebanon and Wilson County residents with the opening of the new Center for Women’s Health Lebanon outpatient clinic, set to open Sept. 9.

Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center at Wilson County is slated to open Aug. 31 with a full array of highly specialized services, including diagnostic assessments, medical oncology and radiation oncology.
