Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH) recently recognized the generosity of organ and tissue donors through a limited-attendance flag raising ceremony.

Julian “Jay” Hinesley III, MHA, President of Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH), is leaving his role with Vanderbilt University Medical Center to join the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) as Chief Executive Officer for MUSC Health’s Florence Division in Florence, South Carolina, where he will lead three hospitals located in Florence and adjacent communities. He will depart VWCH and VUMC on April 30.

In May 2020, dangerously high blood pressure put 44-year-old Kristian Wernet in the hospital, a tipping point that led him to become one of the first individuals to have gastric bypass surgery at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH) as a patient of the new Vanderbilt Weight Loss Center in Lebanon, Tennessee.

Jeanne Yeatman, BSN, MBA, RN, MOM, CMTE, EMT, has been named chief nursing officer of Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH). Yeatman had been serving in an interim capacity since August.

The Vanderbilt Orthopaedics team at Mt. Juliet has been named best in orthopaedics by The Chronicle of Mt. Juliet for the fourth year in a row.

Vanderbilt LifeFlight is expanding its ground ambulance advanced life support (ALS) transport capability to Coffee County, Tennessee, and will be adding a base of operations in Tullahoma, along with two ground ambulances.

Despite being open less than a full year, Vanderbilt Health’s walk-in clinic in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, was recently named best walk-in clinic in The Chronicle of Mt. Juliet’s annual Best of Mt. Juliet special section.
