Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital and Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital Announce Leadership Changes

Scott McCarver, MHA, Chief Operating Officer for Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital, has taken the position of Chief Operating Officer at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH). Jim Hayman, MS, MBA, who has served as Chief Pharmacy Officer for Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital and Clinics for the past 12 years, will serve as the hospital’s interim Chief Operating Officer.

COVID-19 doesn’t prevent Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital’s transition to new IT systems

In the early evening hours of April 23, Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH) completed most of its transition to VUMC’s clinical and information technology (IT) systems. The change represented a critical step in fully integrating the hospital into the Vanderbilt family.

VUMC adult hospital prepared for surge of COVID-19 admissions

As of April 9, Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital (VUAH) had admitted 79 patients with COVID-19, 55 of those admitted had subsequently been discharged, and three patient had died. Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital had admitted 10 patients with COVID-19, none had died, and one of those admitted had subsequently been discharged.
