Vanderbilt LifeFlight has established a new presence within Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Patient Flow Center (PFC) in Green Hills to help round out a multi-disciplinary group of staff that manage transfers into and out of Vanderbilt’s hospitals, clinics and out-patient facilities.

As of April 9, Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital (VUAH) had admitted 79 patients with COVID-19, 55 of those admitted had subsequently been discharged, and three patient had died. Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital had admitted 10 patients with COVID-19, none had died, and one of those admitted had subsequently been discharged.

On March 30, Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH) was part of a Unified Command Response to support relief efforts for a crisis in Gallatin, Tennessee — a region northwest of the hospital’s location in Lebanon.

Hearing that she could deliver her second child with no out-of-pocket expense convinced Vanderbilt University Medical Center employee Amy New to enroll in the new MyMaternityHealth Bundle offered by Vanderbilt Health, and she quickly learned the program’s advantages didn’t stop there.

Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital has received reaccreditation from the Joint Commission (TJC), an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits and certifies more than 22,000 U.S. health care organizations and programs.

To celebrate the debut of a new primary care clinic and walk-in clinic in Mt. Juliet, Vanderbilt Health will hold an open house on Friday, Feb. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the clinics’ new location.

“It has made me ecstatically happy to watch him get better,” his mom said.
