Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has opened a new pediatric primary care clinic in Lebanon, Tennessee, across the street from Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH).

The Vanderbilt Children’s Primary Care Lebanon, located at 1420 West Baddour Parkway, Suite 210, adds to a growing footprint of Children’s Hospital locations across Middle Tennessee that bring care closer to where families live.

Including the main Children’s Hospital campus in Nashville, the surgery and clinics facility in Murfreesboro, six after-hours clinics as well as specialty care clinics, Children’s Hospital now has 17 locations.

The new 5,000-square-foot primary care clinic has 12 exam rooms and a telemedicine room. The practice currently has three board-certified pediatricians with eight support staff, including nurses and medical assistants.

Offering well-child visits, routine vaccinations and same-day sick appointments, Children’s Hospital’s primary care serves as a medical home to care for children’s medical needs as they grow and develop.

“We’re partnering with local community pediatricians to ensure that all families in Lebanon and surrounding communities are able to be seen in a timely manner by a board-certified pediatrician,” said Chris Westbrook, MSHA, MBA, director of Children’s Hospital Off-Site and After-Hours Clinics. “We’re excited for the opportunity to be able serve more of our patients and families closer to where they live, work and play.”

In addition to routine pediatric care, the clinic’s pediatricians are working on plans to offer prenatal classes to expectant families. At least initially, the classes would be offered virtually due the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also, the practice offers scheduled “meet your pediatrician” visits for families who don’t yet have a pediatrician.

The Vanderbilt Children’s Primary Care Lebanon is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information is available at https://www.childrenshospitalvanderbilt.org/program/primary-care-clinics.
