The Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital (VWCH) Advisory Board recently hosted a community celebration dinner to commemorate the successful transition of the local hospital to Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.

Nearly 300 community leaders, hospital staff, partners, and VUMC leaders gathered to hear Advisory Board Chair Hardie Sorrels, MD, VWCH President Jay Hinesley, MHA, and C. Wright Pinson, MBA, MD, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Health System Officer for Vanderbilt University Medical Center show their appreciation to the many people who made the transition smooth and to hear about the new services coming to the region.

“VUMC knows that community hospitals succeed when the hospital and community leaders work together,” Pinson said. “This hospital will succeed alongside the success of Wilson County. We are here this evening to continue to learn about this community and ensure that we are good partners in this.”
