As we reflect on another year, I’m filled with gratitude for the exceptional community you represent and the exciting times ahead.
I’m especially grateful to our Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Association (VMAA) Board of Directors. This fall brings significant transition as we say farewell to an outstanding group concluding their terms: Dr. Harper Stiles, Dr. Samer Hasan, Dr. Jerry Jaboin, Dr. Stephanie Kurita, Dr. Roman Perri, Dr. Mark Rawls, Dr. Airron Richardson, Dr. Robert Rosenfeld, Dr. Randy Saliares, Dr. Tim Schoettle, Dr. Monique Simpson, Dr. Gary Strong and Dr. Sameer Sundrani. I want to extend particular gratitude to our outgoing president, Dr. Elise Fallucco, whose leadership has been foundational to our progress. The unwavering commitment of this group has left a lasting impact.
I’m equally grateful for the continued success of our annual reunion program, now in its second year. This gathering continues to be a cornerstone event, bringing classmates from across decades together to reconnect and deepen their commitment to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. A highlight of this year’s weekend is recognizing VUSM Class of 2003 alumnus Dr. Josh Denny as our Distinguished Alumni recipient.
Thank you to all who participated in our recent alumni engagement survey. Your feedback will directly shape our programming and services as we continue evolving to better support you. We look forward to sharing these insights with our board this fall.
As we move forward, the VMAA remains committed to fostering lifelong relationships, supporting our alumni, and advancing the mission of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine through reunions, mentorship and community engagement.
