Vanderbilt Medical Alumni Reunion 2018

Our next biennial VUSM Reunion, Oct. 11-13, is fast approaching. Reunion festivities will begin on Thursday morning, Oct. 11, with a golf outing at Richland Country Club, followed by an evening welcome reception and awards program at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. This year we will honor our 2018 VMAA

Distinguished Alumni Award recipients, David M. Gershenson, MD’71, and Kathryn M. Edwards, MD, FAC ‘80-present, in addition to our 2018 Distinguished Service Award recipient, Katherine (Kitty) Davis Murfree. On Friday, Oct. 12, there will be CME opportunities, Quinq class inductions (classes of ‘68 and ‘69), luncheons for all alumni, walking tours and evening anniversary class parties. Saturday, Oct. 13, Reunion activities include student presentations, as well as a tailgate and football game (VU vs. University of Florida). VMAA Welcomes New Board Members

The VMAA welcomes the following newly elected board representatives whose four-year terms will begin at Reunion 2018: Michael J. Fowler, MD, FE’01 (Endocrine Society); Stephanie C. Kurita, MD, FAC (Radiology Society); Roman E. Perri, MD, HS’01 (Brittingham Society); Mark E. Rawls, MD, HS’10, BE’02 (Christie Society); Kyla P. Terhune, MD, HS’11, EMBA’16 (Scott Society); Jerry J. Jaboin, MD, HS’10 (Roentgen Society); Vernon A. Rayford, MD’09 (Young Alumnus Representative); Brenessa Lindeman, MD’09 (Southeast); Airron L. Richardson, MD’04, MBA’05 (Northeast); Samer S. Hasan, MD/PhD’94 (Northeast); Rear Admiral Paul D. Pearigen, MD’87 (Far West); Robert L. Rosenfeld, MD’94, MA’73, HS’99 (Far West). In addition, Ryan Byrne, MD, and Claude Pirtle, MD, will join the board as the house staff representatives. Fourth-year class president Will French will serve as the new student representative.
