A Vanderbilt study found that youth who suffer nonfatal firearm injuries have a significantly increased risk of hospitalizations, emergency department visits, outpatient visits and costs in the 12 months following injury compared to youth without a firearm injury.

Larger accessible parking spaces added to South Garage

Multiple newly striped, larger-sized accessible parking spaces with crosshatched areas to allow for additional space added to the South Garage are helping parents of children with complex needs safely get to clinic visits at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Chad Fitzgerald, JD, Senior Vice President for Health System Emergency Operations, has been named Executive Vice President and will lead Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Clinical Support Services Division.
