Three Vanderbilt University researchers on the cutting edge of discovery will discuss the “human determinants of cardiovascular disease and treatment” during the next Flexner Discovery Lecture on Sept. 24.

The Flexner Discovery Lecture Series kicks off this fall with a discussion of health care cost control. Timothy Jost, J.D., emeritus professor at the Washington and Lee University School of Law, will speak on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Last week in Langford Auditorium, Francis Collins, M.D., Ph.D., director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), delivered what he referred to as a “romp through an awful lot of the landscape of biomedical research.”

Three Vanderbilt University scientists will describe “gene-environment interactions in cancer etiology and prevention” at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 21, in 208 Light Hall.
