Major expansion announced for Vanderbilt University Hospital

Leaders with Vanderbilt University Medical Center announced plans today for construction of the largest expansion to date for Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH).

Two-month-old Kaimila Lizardo was among the infants who made the move into the new NICU space on the 11th floor of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

New Children’s Hospital space expands NICU care

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt will house one of the largest Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) in the country with this week’s opening of its newest inpatient space on the 11th floor.
