Study seeks to improve brain health in children with Type 1 diabetes
Children with Type 1 diabetes are at increased risk for neurocognitive complications. Vanderbilt University Medical Center has been selected as one of 11 clinical centers in the United States to evaluate children newly diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes for neurocognitive outcomes. -

VUMC awarded PCORI funding to improve antibiotic prescribing for childhood respiratory infections
The pediatric outpatient antibiotic stewardship project is the first implementation project funded at VUMC as part of the PCORI Health Systems Implementation Initiative, which aims to reduce the estimated 17-year gap between evidence publication and clinical application. -

Vanderbilt Children’s Primary Care moves to new home at Vanderbilt Health One Hundred Oaks
The clinic, Vanderbilt Children’s Primary Care, is expanding from 20,000 square feet to 29,000 with the addition of 13 exam rooms, dedicated consult areas, a checkout area to allow for specialty service scheduling and a devoted learning space for the nearly 80 resident staff members.
