Until 2004, Nashville was the only city among the top 25 in the nation that didn’t have a freestanding hospital dedicated to serving children and their families.

Event honors donors’ ongoing support, generosity

Members of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Canby Robinson Society recently joined CEO and President Jeff Balser, MD, PhD, and his wife, Melinda, at Cheekwood Botanic Hall for the Spring Donor Celebration, an annual event honoring donors for their loyal support.

Iroquois Steeplechase set for Saturday, May 11

The Iroquois Steeplechase, Nashville’s iconic sporting event benefiting Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, has named its honorary co-chairs and child ambassador for the 2024 race, set for Saturday, May 11.

Making a splash for cancer research

The third annual Swim Across America – Nashville was held April 21 at Ensworth Natatorium on the Ensworth School’s Frist Campus. The event raises funds for research at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.

Friends & Fashion raises funds in style

Friends of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt held its annual fundraising event, Friends & Fashion, on Tuesday, April 2, at Music City Center. The fashion show and luncheon included grateful patient families and health care heroes from Monroe Carell walking the runway.
