Life-changing tragedies bring burn team and patients together as ‘family’

The 25-bed Level 1 burn unit now averages over 600 admissions a year, and the adjacent burn clinic sees 3,000 outpatient visits a year.

Celebrating the Turner family legacy

The floor is named in recognition of Cal Turner Jr.’s support through the Cal Turner Family Foundation to bring pediatric inpatient rehabilitation closer to home.

Project SEARCH job skills program expands into off-site pharmacy services

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt hosted the first Project SEARCH site in Tennessee, offering interns free job training, educational development and employment opportunities since 2005.

Latest workshop to modify toys for children with physical disabilities held at Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center

Participants successfully adapted more than 30 toys using simple modifications that allow children with limited mobility to operate them with an accessibility switch.
