Nonprofits support quest to cure childhood epilepsy

Monica Joanna Elnekaveh was doing everything she could to learn what was causing her 18-month-old daughter’s developmental issues. Her relentless quest to find answers eventually led her to Vanderbilt investigative neurologist Jing-Qiong (Katty) Kang, MD, PhD.

VUMC again collaborating to bring nursing education to Metro Schools

For the second year, Vanderbilt nurses are collaborating with Metro Nashville Public Schools to mentor high school students to become medical assistants or care partners who have identified a future goal of being a registered nurse.

Christmas Village, benefiting the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center, is one of the oldest philanthropic events in Nashville. For many, it has been a family tradition for generations.
