Donors are welcomed into the Legacy Circle when they make a lasting gift to the Medical Center through their will, retirement plan, life insurance policy or trust.

The gift, provided through Ballerini’s Feel Your Way Through Charitable Fund, will benefit the hospital’s efforts to keep the children of Tennessee and beyond safe.

The high-energy fundraiser began in 2022 to raise money for cancer initiatives at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The clinic has provided comprehensive medical care and bridged gaps to vital resources to improve the health outcomes for, to date, more than 4,000 uninsured individuals.

Thirteen patients received free orthopaedic surgeries, including five sports cases, six hand/upper extremity cases and, for the first time, two foot and ankle surgeries.

The event, which featured more than 50 teams from VUMC, raises awareness and funds for research, advocacy and CPR training to combat heart disease and stroke.

The family-friendly event, organized by the American Heart Association and sponsored in part by VUMC, will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20 at GEODIS Park.
