The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System performed its first CAR-T infusion recently at the Veterans Administration hospital in Nashville.

Pediatric diabetes, palliative care focus of new Friends of Children’s Hospital gift

Friends of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, a volunteer organization, recently committed $1 million over the next three years to be split between two crucial pediatric programs: diabetes and palliative care.

Couple’s bequest allows them to reciprocate the gift of life

Larry and Sue Hill, of Norris, Tennessee, decided after Larry’s life-saving kidney transplant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2012 that they weren’t satisfied just saying thank you and moving on. They wanted to pay it forward.
