Vanderbilt mourns loss of tireless philanthropist Dugas

Laura Jo Turner Dugas, who along with her brothers Cal Jr. and Steve Turner and their families, have been longtime supporters of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, died on Dec. 26, 2021. She was 84.

Eve of Janus event benefits Children’s Hospital

The Eve of Janus, the longest-running fundraising event for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, recently celebrated its 50-year anniversary with a $1 million milestone gift to the hospital’s Tri Delta Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic.

Volunteers packaged a total of 10,173 pounds of frozen food and 588 boxes of shelf-stable food at this year's Vanderbilt Orthopaedic Community Service Day.
