Sumit Pruthi, MD, MBBS, professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, has succeeded Marta Hernanz-Schulman, MD, as chief of Pediatric Radiology and medical director of Diagnostic Imaging at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Saeed Mohammad, MD, MS, recently joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center as director of the Pediatric Solid Organ Transplant Center at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

The Academy for Excellence in Education has elected the following 26 new members for 2022.

Vanderbilt has named John Kuriyan, PhD, one of the world’s leading structural biologists, as its next dean of the School of Medicine Basic Sciences.

Maureen Gannon, PhD, professor of Medicine, Molecular Physiology and Biophysics, and Cell and Developmental Biology, is the recipient of the 2022 Lois Jovanovic Transformative Woman in Diabetes Award presented by the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
