Annual voting is now open for U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals” rankings for adult and children’s hospitals. Online voting for eligible physicians to complete their survey takes place on Doximity (www.doximity.com). The surveys will remain open throughout the month of March.

Voting is open to physicians in 16 adult and 10 pediatric specialties, as defined by U.S. News according to board certification. The survey accounts for a significant percent of each year’s “Best Hospitals” score in a specialty. U.S. News distributes a small sample of paper ballots by mail to eligible physicians who did not register on Doximity by Nov. 15, 2018.

Last year, Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital attained national recognition on U.S. News’ “Honor Roll” of top 20 adult hospitals along with strong rankings in all 16 adult specialties. Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt continued to earn high rankings in all 10 pediatric specialties. Voting participation by Vanderbilt’s board-eligible faculty is essential to maintaining these outstanding rankings.
